Itinerary

Day 1 Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes :

Our private Morocco Tour starts today and we will drive through the Rif mountains to Chefchaouan. It is a stunning village in the feet of Rif mountains and its medina has a Spanish-style square. Then we continue our private Morocco tour to Fes. Here we spend the night in traditional hotel/riad.

Day 2 Fes Sightseeing :

Spend the day exploring Fes with a local guide. Visit the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, and various historical sites including the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world. Overnight in Fes.

Day 3 Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga Camel Trekking :

After breakfast, our private Morocco Tour continues and we will drive to Ifrane and Azrou passing the Middle Atlas mountains. We will stop at the cedar forests to watch local apes. We head to Midelt, capital of apples in Morocco, then we pass Ziz valley, then towards the city of Errachidia. We’ll continue our private Morocco tour to Erfoud, and Rissani. Here we may explore fossil products and factories, local souk in Rissani and after we reach Merzouga we will ride camels to a desert Berber camp located in the middle of the Erg Chebbi desert. The camel ride takes about 45 min. We will have dinner in the desert camp and we will enjoy this night in desert tents with Berber drums music under the stars.

Day 4 Merzouga-Nomadic Family-Abandoned Village-Khamlia-Oasis-Desert Camp :

After breakfast in your hotel, we will start discovering the surroundings of Merzouga desert. We will drive around Merzouga and the sand dunes, visit the lake with pink flamingos, have a short walk in the oasis of the desert, a large palm forest, then we will visit nomads, experience their lifestyle and have tea in their tents. Then we will continue visiting the now almost abandoned Minas de Mifis which was found by France. After we will visit the Gnawa village called Khamlia. You will meet Gnawa people and hear their music. After lunch, we return to the riad to change transport. After preparing our luggage, we will ride a camel to go through the desert (you can choose to go by 4*4 car). We will stop at the high dunes to watch the sunset, then continue to the camp. When we arrive at our camp, you will have your leisure time to walk through the dunes and enjoy sandboarding before dinner. We will have dinner in the tent or outside, then there will be a fire camp with Berber drum music around. After the fire camp, the stars come out, you may view the shooting stars and the most clear galaxy you ever see, a magic night is on.

Day 5 Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkob – Ouarzazate :

Before sunrise, your guide will wake you up to enjoy the sunrise where you can climb a camel to climb the sand dunes and take fantastic pictures of the sunrise. Back to the hotel you can enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing our journey to Ouarzazate, passing by Alnif, Tazzarine, and lunch in Nkob, and then we will go to the Draa Valley where we will visit the Kasbah of Caid Ali, Tamnougalt. Next, we will go to Ouarzazate where we will spend the night in a hotel-kasbah.

Day 6 Ouarzazate – Telouat – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech :

From Ouarzazate, we will go to visit the UNESCO world heritage of Ait Ben Haddou, which has also been the backdrop for many films like: Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Alexander … We will continue towards the valley of Ounila to the traditional Berber village of Telouet, for a guided tour of the Kasbah of the Pasha Glaoui of Marrakech. Then we will go to Marrakech, passing through the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will leave you at your Riad/hotel.

Day 7 Marrakech Sightseeing :

Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces, and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery, and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Spend the day exploring the city with a local guide. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 8 Marrakech – Casablanca :

After breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca. Depending on your flight schedule, you can visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, and explore the Corniche. End of the tour with a drop-off at Casablanca airport or your hotel.
